Thanasi Panagiotakopoulos

Mr. Panagiotakopoulos joined Pathlight Investors as a partner in December 2015. His primary focus is providing investment advisory and financial planning services to corporations, pensions, families and individuals. With capital markets becoming hypercompetitive and fast-paced, Thanasi has implemented low-cost, simple investment plans and strategies to address the unique needs and objectives of each client.

Prior to joining the Pathlight team, Mr. Panagiotakopoulos advised clients at Wells Fargo Advisors for five years as a Vice President of Investments. He was among a select group of professionals at Wells Fargo Advisors who achieved the “Premier Advisor” distinction by consistently demonstrating a high level of business development and commitment of exceptional service to his clients. Inclusion in this program is a testament to Thanasi’s ability to understand individual client needs and aspirations while developing and employing customized plans to achieve these very goals.

Mr. Panagiotakopoulos attended the Monfort School of Business at the University of Northern Colorado where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a double Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Management. While at UNC, Mr. Panagiotakopoulos was also a four-year player on the Men’s Basketball team where he earned national recognition as a 1st-team All-American Scholar Athlete. After graduating Thanasi spent two years in Thessaloniki, Greece where he played professionally for Iraklis Thessaloniki B.C. As part of his commitment to academia, Mr. Panagiotakopoulos is currently enrolled in the Masters of Finance program at the D’Amore McKim School of Business at Northeastern University.

In his spare time, Thanasi enjoys spending time with his wife Melissa and his one year old daughter Sophia. He can be found telling old basketball stories at the local gym or competing on the golf course and tennis court. He speaks Greek fluently, is active in the Church community, and is a member of the American Hellenic Education Progressive Association
