2011 Year In Review

In no uncertain terms, 2011 was a difficult year to be an investor.  It was a year in which more people "got it wrong" than "got it right."  Micro positives were overshadowed by macro headwinds, volatility caused large day-to-day swings in the markets that made staying with investments uncomfortable, and incompetent politics ruled the year.  It was a year in which we adjusted to the economic reality that growth will be harder to come by.  It was also a year in which the previously "unthinkable" happened in the form of a downgrade of the U.S. debt rating.
